Technology is around us continually, we don’t even notice it anymore. Yet for some people it’s astonishing. As one head girl wrote to show her appreciation “that now most of them have managed to see and touch a computer practically”.

Reduce, reuse, recycle. Every year 1 million tonnes of electronic equipment is thrown out, of this only 1/4 is genuinely unusable. By reusing equipment we can double the life and half the carbon footprint of a computer.

Education is of vital importance for development. Children everywhere have a right to a basic education. Education will revolutionize a child's whole life, bringing a permanent change to the child and their entire family.

The WEEE Directive aims to both reduce the amount of electrical and electronic equipment being produced and to encourage everyone to reuse, recycle and recover it.
