Computers 4 Africa invites you, and any company you work for, to come along on the days of your local appeal and hand in your unwanted IT equipment. There will be Computers 4 Africa staff on site all day and a van is available too, so if your business has 5 or more PCs to donate but you can’t afford to make the journey to the appeal site we can come to you and collect from your offices. If you wish to have equipment collected, we would ask that you call us in advance to arrange a time for the collection to take place.
Please check your local appeal times as they differ slightly over the weekends.
All donations at our local appeals are subject to our minimum requirements and donation policies. We do also offer our recycling service on appeal days.
The local appeal is a way to make it economical to ship PCs from individual donors to African schools, by collecting them together in one place before transporting them. While it may not be worthwhile to collect an individual PC from a household donor, collecting twenty PCs from twenty such donors over the course of a day at the appeal site is a much better solution.
Computers 4 Africa has been running local appeals since August 2006.
