Technology is around us continually, we don’t even notice it anymore. Yet for some people it’s astonishing. As one head girl wrote to show her appreciation “that now most of them have managed to see and touch a computer practically”.
Europe has one of the highest ratios of computers to people in the world; Africa has the lowest. Purchasing the latest IT equipment is common among Europeans, having your own PC is a distant dream for Africans of an average or lower income.
As information technology progresses, developing nations like most of those in Africa are being left further and further behind. Our aim is to reverse that trend. By providing an education in information and communications technology to as many African economies advance into the information age and become self-sustaining-but we need your help to do it!
