Fulfil your WEEE regulation requirements and bolster your CSR image for free...
The majority of companies registered to dispose of redundant electrical equipment will charge for every computer and peripheral device that they remove. In stark contrast to this, C4A will collect everything on a pre-arranged date and sort the equipment free-of-charge. Computers 4 Africa only makes use of working equipment; this ensures that no ‘junk’ is passed on for the sake of charitable giving and that all parties involved adhere to WEEE Regulation. We endeavour to give away all that we can, however in the event that certain items cannot be used (usually older than five years or sub-Pentium 4), they are passed on to one of our partners – a registered WEEE contractor –who will dispose of the equipment in line with WEEE legislation. It is only ever at this point that a charge will be passed on to you; this keeps your costs to an absolute minimum.
We make no money from the donations that we receive and nothing that C4A collects is set-up for re-sale. 100% of usable donations are given to our projects in Africa.
