Council have such a power to influence their local community. As part of their reuse initiatives Derby City Council is one of the many councils that have donated their redundant PCs to us. Computers donated by Derby city council will go to one of our projects in Africa.
We met with Councillor Mike Carr during one of our donation appeals at our Derby site in Kingsway Retail Park. Councillor Carr said: “I’m pleased we can contribute to such a worthwhile cause and I’d urge anyone who can give up their unused PCs to donate their. These can make such a difference to other people’s lives in parts of the world where the cost of a PC is simply unthinkably out of people’s reach.”
