Faith and Sharon, two members of the Media team left a grey and wet Maidstone to travel to an even wetter Birmingham! with the intention of attending the ‘Design and Technology with ICT Education Show’.
After arriving to set up on Wednesday and wondering why it is always far more difficult to set up big magnetic banners away from the office!! (ortunately there was help available from a couple of ‘knights in shining armour’ from the stand opposite).
The next two days went very quickly as we were amazed at the opportunities we had to shared our purpose, aims and vision with people from both establishments of education as well as companies within the design/technology industry, as well as a couple of editors for magazines.
As we look at where both the delegates and exhibitors came from we can see that the Computers 4 Africa brochures have been distributed from Cornwall up to Scotland and across the Irish Sea into Ireland. We look forward to the next few weeks when we will hopefully be able to build relationships with some of our new contacts, and be able to collect lots of computers and IT equipment.
