C4A went Strawberry Picking at Stonepitts Farm in Seal, Sevenoaks. It was an ideal opportunity to catch up with old friends and get to know the new-comers.
We had a live band which included: Dan Clews, who released his second single in April this year and our very own C4A band, Avril & Ida Mhunduru and Jon Ackroyd. They impeccably set the scene with folk, jazz and blues while the rest of us helped ourselves to a picnic which was laid on.
We were hosted very generously by Martin and Jackie Clews, who let us loose on the strawberry farm. This year at Stonepitts, Martin has grown 6 varieties of strawberries so there was plenty to choose from! Martin and Jackie travelled to see our projects in Tanzania in 2009 and have been involved in the charity for 7 years.
Computers 4 Africa would like to thank our friends Martin and Jackie Clews for a brilliant event. What better way to spend a summer evening than to have a picnic, with friends and family, mellow live music and a perfect sunset to finish?
