Buhoma Community School in Uganda was recently visited by one of our beneficiaries, to take over some IT equipment and have a look at the school situations in the local area. Due to location and transport only one laptop was sent but we hope that this will make a real difference. “The laptop was incredibly well received. They were all so excited and I could see what a difference it will make to the school.” says Gill Castle.
Gill visited the region to set up a project which will be aiming to provide equipment and small grants to local children's groups (schools, orphans groups etc.). Their dream is to provide more and more equipment as the IT development and training progresses in the Community School and to spread further into other schools in the region, using the community school as a example to surrounding schools.
